Hands-On Workshops in a Group

Hands-on Workshops are provided in small groups of 10 people, and while you are encouraged to bring your own Mac, one can be provided for you if requested. Workshops will include a 15 to 30 minute Q&A at the end.

iPad 101: Intro

Get the most out of your iPad. This two hour, hands-on Workshop shows you how to navigate and use your iPad to it's fullest potential. From the intuitive Settings and Multi-touch Gestures to the amazing built-in Apps like Safari, Mail, Photos, Music, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Reminders, Maps and Videos. 

We'll show you how to access the App Store to get iBooks and discover more great Apps. Shoot still images and record HD videos with the built-in front and rear facing cameras and learn how to share and sync music, photos and videos back and forth between your computer and the iPad through iTunes. An open environment for discussion and Q&A.

Mac 101: Intro

Get the most out of your Mac. This two hour, hands-on Workshop for new and seasoned Mac users goes beyond emailing, web browsing and writing Word documents to show you how to make quick use of the broader Mac OS interface design (including shortcuts). Learn how to find and organize documents, photos and music (with Finder), customize and manage your Desktop, use the Dock to quickly access Apps and Documents and remove items in the Trash securely.

Discover how to access the Mac App Store, perform useful Software Updates, run Time Machine backups and use Spotlight (to "Google" your Mac and more). An open environment for discussion and Q&A.

iCloud 101: Intro

What is iCloud?
iCloud stores your content including music, photos, contacts, calendars and supported documents. Content stored in iCloud is pushed wirelessly to your other iOS devices and computers set up with the same iCloud account.

What Do I Need to Use iCloud?
iCloud is available on iOS6 devices, on Macs running OS X Lion 10.7 and OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 and PCs with the iCloud Control Panel for Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 & 8.
